Police close in on Boom Panadda charity finances. Seventeen accounts holding ฿60m are frozen, while ฿100m in assets face scrutiny. Detectives trace ฿45m in villa payments and nearly ฿1bn in transactions. Arrest warrants loom. She denies wrongdoing.

Thai celebrity and charity boss Panadda Wongphudee, known as Boom Panadda, faces possible criminal charges after police froze 17 bank accounts holding ฿60 million. Investigators are probing assets worth over ฿100 million, including 22 vehicles and luxury properties. At the scandal’s heart are ฿45 million in questionable contractor transfers, a Phuket villa and charity transactions approaching ฿1 billion. Meanwhile, senior police have challenged her claims of ignorance, citing her duties as foundation president. Fraud, computer crime and money laundering charges are under consideration. Arrest warrants could follow within days as police investigate her husband and associates. Panadda denies wrongdoing.

Thailand’s Economic Crime Suppression Division has frozen 17 bank accounts linked to celebrity actress Panadda Wongphudee, widely known as Boom Panadda. The accounts contain approximately ฿60 million.

Police are also examining luxury cars, houses, land and other assets reportedly worth over ฿100 million. Meanwhile, investigators are preparing arrest warrants as the charity funds scandal moves towards criminal prosecution. The actress herself faces growing legal jeopardy as officers scrutinise her financial responsibilities.

On Wednesday, November 4, Economic Crime Suppression Division Commander Police Major General Thatsaphum Charuprat confirmed the sweeping financial crackdown. The frozen accounts are linked to Panadda, her husband Athip Anantawan, known as Got, and associated individuals.

Police trace luxury assets and personal spending as Boom Panadda faces fraud and laundering inquiries

The investigation also covers the Do Good Organisation Foundation, which the actress heads. Furthermore, police are tracing financial transactions dating back to 2015, when the organisation began soliciting public donations.

Investigators have identified 22 vehicles, three or four houses, several plots of land and six firearms. Numerous designer handbags are also under examination. Officers are checking ownership records, purchase dates and the money used to acquire the property.

Notably, the investigation has already identified foundation donations used for personal expenditure, according to the police commander. However, the amounts involved and individual responsibility remain under examination.

Police are preparing possible arrest warrants against an initial group of approximately two suspects. Their identities have not been disclosed. Nevertheless, senior officers expect decisions on criminal proceedings within one or two days.

Central Investigation Bureau Commissioner Police Lieutenant General Natthasak Chaowanasai has identified three possible criminal offences. These involve public fraud, violations of the Computer Crime Act and money laundering.

The actress has denied wrongdoing and maintains that her husband deceived her over financial dealings connected with the foundation. Yet Police Major General Thatsaphum Charuprat has openly challenged that explanation.

He insists investigators must examine her responsibilities as foundation president. The commander cited her duties involving accounting, expenditure controls and approval of financial statements. Moreover, evidence from accountants and auditors has raised questions about claims that she knew nothing.

Police widen inquiry into Boom Panadda and relatives as ฿1 billion in transactions comes under scrutiny

Police are therefore examining Panadda’s own conduct rather than concentrating exclusively on her husband. In parallel, the inquiry extends to foundation directors, accountants, contractors and others involved in financial transactions.

Anyone found knowingly involved in criminal activity could face prosecution. The actress has not been publicly confirmed as arrested or formally charged.

The latest developments follow several days of intensive financial investigations. Officers began examining approximately 15 to 17 accounts on Monday, November 2. By Wednesday evening, the commander confirmed restrictions involving 17 accounts containing approximately ฿60 million.

These reportedly include accounts associated with the actress, her husband, relatives and charitable organisations. Separately, police are examining additional financial connections involving foundation operations.

Investigators are tracing transactions dating back to 2015, when the foundation began soliciting donations. The wider examination involves cumulative financial transactions approaching ฿1 billion.

Crucially, police have not established that this entire amount represents stolen or misappropriated money. The Economic Crime Suppression Division commander also rejected suggestions that investigators had established personal expenditure of ฿800 million. He said police had no information confirming that figure.

Investigators challenge Boom Panadda over charity spending and her duties as foundation president

Even so, the commander stated that investigators had identified foundation donations used for personal expenses. Officers are examining individual payments, supporting documents and the people who authorised them.

The investigation also covers whether the foundation’s financial records accurately reflected expenditure. Additionally, police are checking whether money collected for charitable activities was transferred into personal or commercial accounts.

The commander addressed the actress’s claim that she was unaware of wrongdoing during Wednesday’s briefing. According to his account, Panadda’s position as foundation president carried direct responsibility for managing the organisation’s finances.

Her duties included accounting, monitoring expenditure and ensuring donations were used for their intended purposes. He also referred to her responsibility for approving financial statements and annual reports submitted to the Revenue Department.

Police Major General Thatsaphum Charuprat said investigators were examining documentary evidence alongside information obtained from accountants and auditors. He questioned whether repeated financial transactions could have occurred without the foundation president’s knowledge.

Police question claims of ignorance as secret late-night transfers and directors face closer scrutiny

Significantly, he indicated that investigators were giving little weight to claims of complete ignorance. Panadda continues to maintain that she was deceived by her husband. Her explanation is being examined against banking records, financial authorisations and witness statements.

The investigation also covers whether other foundation directors knew about questionable transactions. Officers are examining internal controls and the authority exercised by individuals handling donations.

On another front, investigators have identified financial transfers reportedly conducted at approximately 2 am without other directors knowing. These transactions are receiving particular attention. Police are examining who authorised them and whether they were properly recorded.

Central Investigation Bureau Commissioner Police Lieutenant General Natthasak Chaowanasai said electronic records would be central to establishing responsibility. Officers are comparing transaction histories with foundation documents and statements from individuals involved.

Likewise, they are checking whether financial decisions were concentrated among a small number of people. The commissioner warned that foundation directors found knowingly involved in wrongdoing would face legal action. Investigators have not publicly identified every individual suspected of criminal involvement.

Police trace ฿45 million in contractor payments linked to Phuket villa and transfers to actress’s husband

A major strand of the investigation concerns approximately ฿45 million transferred to a construction contractor. According to financial records described by Thai PBS, six transfers were made from foundation-linked accounts over two days in December 2025.

The money went to contractor Apichat, known as Chang Ae, who worked on a luxury pool villa in Phuket. Investigators are examining whether these payments represented legitimate construction expenditure or money diverted from charitable purposes.

The contractor acknowledged receiving funds connected with construction work. However, he maintained that some money was subsequently transferred to the personal account of Panadda’s husband, Athip Anantawan.

He denied participating in any fraudulent arrangement. In response, police are examining construction contracts, invoices, payment instructions and the actual work undertaken. They are also checking whether the transfers were properly authorised and supported by legitimate commercial agreements.

Records described by Thai PBS identify two substantial payments on December 23, 2025. The first involved ฿3.6 million, while the second involved ฿13.7 million. Later that evening, the construction company reportedly transferred ฿1.9 million and ฿1.8 million to Athip. Some payments were divided into amounts below ฿2 million. Investigators are examining the reasons for these arrangements and the individuals responsible for ordering the transfers.

Contractors face questions over Phuket villa payments and possible returns to foundation-linked accounts

Police are also checking quotations issued in the foundation’s name. The inquiry includes whether construction costs were accurately recorded and whether payments corresponded with completed work.

As part of this examination, investigators are comparing the contractor’s account with bank statements and other financial evidence. The records are being examined alongside property ownership documents and transactions involving the actress’s husband.

On Tuesday night, November 3, investigators questioned Chang Ae about the Phuket pool villa. Another contractor, identified as Chang M, was scheduled for questioning at 2 pm on Wednesday. Chang M was involved in construction work for the foundation in Khlong 8, Pathum Thani. Police are examining his contracts, payment records and knowledge of the transactions. They are also determining whether the contractors acted as legitimate service providers, witnesses or participants in suspected offences.

Neither contractor has been publicly confirmed as charged in the supplied reports. Nonetheless, their financial dealings are being examined as part of the wider investigation.

Police are also checking whether money transferred to construction companies was subsequently returned to individuals connected with the foundation. Investigators are comparing the amounts paid with the actual value of construction work and contractual obligations.

Police examine property deals, construction contracts and luxury assets worth more than ฿100 million

Police Major General Thatsaphum Charuprat explained the approach to examining property and construction transactions on Wednesday. He said investigators were checking whether each stage followed ordinary commercial procedures.

These include land purchases, ownership registration, construction agreements and payment schedules. Officers are also examining contract witnesses and individuals who authorised payments. At the same time, police are comparing agreed prices with the value of construction work.

The commander said missing contracts, unexplained payments or excessive charges could provide evidence of irregularities. Investigators are examining whether such transactions reveal the intentions of those involved. In addition, police are checking whether payments were divided or routed through additional accounts. The inquiry also covers whether transactions were supported by legitimate invoices and properly recorded in foundation accounts.

The financial investigation extends beyond the Phuket property. Police are examining other houses, land holdings, vehicles and possessions associated with the actress and related individuals. Reports identify 22 vehicles, including luxury cars.

Elsewhere in the inquiry, investigators are examining three or four houses, several land plots, six firearms and numerous designer handbags. The combined value of assets under examination has reportedly exceeded ฿100 million.

Conflicting asset seizure reports emerge as police trace ฿60 million in accounts and further property

Conflicting accounts have emerged over the extent of formal seizures. Some reports describe the property as frozen or seized. Others distinguish between restricted bank accounts and assets still undergoing examination.

The commander confirmed approximately ฿60 million in restricted bank accounts. Meanwhile, police are tracing ownership histories and the sources of money used to purchase other property. The precise value of assets already formally seized remains unresolved.

Investigators are examining whether assets were acquired before or after suspected criminal transactions. They are also checking whether purchases were financed through legitimate income or funds connected with the foundation. To establish this, officers are comparing property acquisitions with banking records and reported income. The investigation covers assets held by individuals associated with the actress and her husband.

The Anti-Money Laundering Office could become involved if police establish evidence of unlawfully acquired assets. The agency, known as AMLO, would then consider further seizure proceedings under money laundering legislation. Police Major General Thatsaphum Charuprat said assets linked to criminal activity would be referred for appropriate legal action. First, investigators must establish the financial connections and ownership histories involved.

Donors describe charity appeals as police trace disputed spending and question television personalities

The investigation is also examining the foundation’s fundraising activities. Police have questioned donors about appeals, payment methods and the intended purposes of their contributions.

According to the Economic Crime Suppression Division commander, several witnesses knew how and when donations were requested. They also provided information about the amounts contributed and the purposes for which money was collected.

Investigators received accounts indicating that some donations were not used as promised. The commander said the evidence showed a clear pattern of wrongdoing. Consequently, police are comparing fundraising representations with the foundation’s financial transactions.

The inquiry covers both large donations and smaller payments collected through public appeals. Officers are also examining whether money was transferred to accounts unrelated to the stated charitable activities.

On Tuesday, November 3, television presenter Phuttha Apiwan provided information concerning donations exceeding ฿800,000. Another television personality, Phudit Kamnerdploy, widely known as Num Kanchai, also attended police headquarters.

Investigators are examining their contributions and the circumstances surrounding the fundraising appeals. The Central Investigation Bureau commissioner explained why officers initially concentrated on substantial donations. Large transfers can be traced more efficiently through bank records and related documentation.

Police seek evidence from small donors as actresses provide information in widening charity investigation

Despite that initial focus, the commissioner stressed that smaller donors could also provide evidence. Police would accept information from people who contributed as little as ฿19. The investigation therefore includes donations of widely differing amounts.

Officers are examining what contributors were told and whether the foundation fulfilled the stated purposes of its appeals. They are also investigating whether any fundraising statements contained false information. That examination forms part of the possible public fraud and Computer Crime Act proceedings.

Additional celebrity witnesses have also entered the investigation. By Tuesday night, actress Araya Alberta Hargate, known as Chompoo Araya, had met with Economic Crime Suppression Division investigators. She provided information relevant to the inquiry.

By contrast, another prominent actress, Ranee Campen, known as Bella, had not yet contacted investigators to arrange questioning. Police have not suggested that these celebrities committed offences. Their involvement concerns evidence being collected about donations and the foundation’s activities.

Boom accuses husband of deception as police separately examine her control of foundation finances

The widening donor inquiry is running alongside the investigation into the actress’s personal financial responsibilities. Panadda attended the Central Investigation Bureau on Tuesday, November 3, accompanied by her lawyer, Ekkasit Srisang.

She lodged a complaint against her husband and maintained that she had been deceived over financial dealings. Her complaint concerns transactions involving Athip Anantawan and a contractor. Yet police are treating that complaint separately from the investigation into the foundation.

Central Investigation Bureau Commissioner Police Lieutenant General Natthasak Chaowanasai has emphasised the distinction between the two proceedings. The actress’s complaint against her husband does not prevent investigators from examining her own conduct.

Equally, allegations against Athip do not establish that Panadda was unaware of transactions conducted during her presidency. Police are assessing both accounts against documentary evidence and witness testimony.

Investigators are examining whether foundation money was transferred to personal accounts without proper authority. The inquiry includes expenditure records, bank instructions and documents approved by foundation officials.

In particular, police are examining whether the actress personally authorised transactions or approved accounts containing questionable expenditure. The Economic Crime Suppression Division commander has indicated that the evidence collected so far challenges her explanation. He referred specifically to her financial responsibilities and information obtained from accountants and auditors.

Police prepare warrants for two possible suspects as Boom Panadda and husband remain under investigation

Panadda has not been publicly confirmed as arrested or formally charged. Her husband also remains under investigation. Meanwhile, police are monitoring their movements as preparations for possible criminal proceedings continue. According to Wednesday’s reporting by Khaosod, both remained in Thailand. Investigators had identified no indication that either was preparing to flee or conceal assets.

Police are considering the risk of evidence being altered or destroyed when determining legal measures. Police Major General Thatsaphum Charuprat said investigators were assembling evidence for summonses or arrest warrants.

He indicated that preparations for the initial legal action were more than halfway complete. Given the seriousness of the suspected offences, the commander said careful consideration was required. Some potential charges carry substantial criminal penalties.

Police could seek arrest warrants where the evidence and legal requirements justify them. However, investigators have not announced whether summonses or arrest warrants will be used against particular individuals.

The first group facing possible warrants is expected to involve approximately two suspects. Their identities have not been disclosed. The Central Investigation Bureau commissioner expects greater clarity within one or two days. That places Thursday, November 5, and Friday, November 6, at the centre of the immediate investigative timetable.

Public fraud, computer crime and money laundering inquiries widen as police reject naval officer claims

The possible charges cover three separate areas of criminal law. Public fraud concerns whether contributors were deliberately deceived into donating money. Computer Crime Act offences concern potentially false information used in online fundraising appeals.

Money laundering, meanwhile, involves transactions connected with criminal proceeds, including their transfer or concealment. Investigators are examining whether evidence supports any of these offences against particular individuals.

Police are checking whether funds passed through personal or commercial accounts before being used to acquire property. The inquiry also covers whether individuals knowingly participated in such transactions.

Police Lieutenant General Natthasak Chaowanasai has warned that anyone found involved in criminal wrongdoing could face prosecution. This includes foundation directors and others who handled or authorised financial transactions. Before charges proceed, investigators must establish each individual’s involvement.

Police are continuing to collect evidence from accountants, auditors, contractors, donors and foundation officials. The investigation has also examined suggestions involving a naval officer.

However, the Central Investigation Bureau commissioner rejected claims that a naval officer was implicated in the financial transactions. He said investigators had found no naval involvement. Officers are continuing to trace the movement of foundation money through associated accounts.

Foundation accounts face scrutiny over nearly ฿1 billion in transactions and disputed personal expenses

The foundation itself remains under detailed financial examination. Police are tracing its operations back to 2015, including fundraising appeals and the movement of donations. The organisation built its public profile through charitable activities associated with Panadda.

Yet investigators are examining whether money collected for those activities was subsequently used for unrelated purposes. The inquiry includes the foundation’s accounting systems, financial controls and annual reporting procedures.

Officers are examining the authority exercised by directors and individuals managing bank accounts. Furthermore, police are comparing recorded expenditure with construction contracts, property purchases and personal transactions.

The examination covers nearly ฿1 billion in cumulative financial activity. However, investigators have not established that the entire amount represents criminal proceeds. The commander has specifically stated that claims involving ฿800 million in personal expenditure remain unsupported by available information.

He confirmed that investigators had identified charitable donations used for personal expenses. Police are now establishing the full amounts involved and the responsibility of those connected with the transactions. The ฿45 million in contractor payments remains a central part of that examination. Likewise, officers are scrutinising the reported late-night transfers and the movement of money into accounts associated with the actress’s husband.

Police scrutinise directors and Boom Panadda as frozen accounts and looming arrest warrants raise stakes

Investigators are checking whether foundation directors knew about these transactions. They are also examining whether payments were supported by contracts and legitimate commercial expenditure.

Alongside this, officers are reviewing financial statements approved during Panadda’s presidency. The commander has made clear that her responsibilities as foundation president are under direct examination.

By Wednesday evening, the investigation had reached a critical stage. Seventeen bank accounts involving approximately ฿60 million had been frozen or restricted. Investigators were also examining property reportedly worth more than ฿100 million.

Police were questioning contractors and donors while tracing financial transactions extending back more than a decade. The Economic Crime Suppression Division was preparing possible arrest warrants against an initial group of approximately two suspects.

The identities of those individuals had not been confirmed. Police Major General Thatsaphum Charuprat has made clear that Panadda’s responsibilities as foundation president are under direct examination. Investigators are reviewing her knowledge of financial transactions, accounting responsibilities and approval of expenditure.

Actress denies wrongdoing as police weigh charges and trace assets following bank account restrictions

The actress continues to deny wrongdoing and maintains that her husband deceived her. Nevertheless, the commander has publicly questioned that explanation, citing financial records and evidence from accountants and auditors.

The next development is expected by Friday, November 6, when police may announce summonses, arrest warrants or criminal charges. For the moment, Panadda remains under investigation, with no confirmed arrest or formal charge against her.

Thai celebrity faces a maelstrom of suspicion and legal peril as police signal decisive action imminent
Thai actress demands action against former police officer for stalking and sexual harassment at home

Yet the freezing of bank accounts and examination of substantial property holdings mark a major escalation. Police are now completing the evidence needed to identify those who may face prosecution.

The investigation has moved beyond financial scrutiny of the foundation into preparations for criminal proceedings against individuals connected with its operations.

Meanwhile, investigators are continuing to trace donations, examine property acquisitions and question those involved in financial transactions. The first arrests or summonses could follow within days as the Economic Crime Suppression Division completes its initial case files.
