Luxury Bangkok holiday ends in tragedy as Igho “Tiny” Ubiribo dies after penis filler injections. UK inquest links his death to the treatment as his links to an international Nigerian drug-trafficking case emerge.
British-Nigerian influencer Igho “Tiny” Ubiribo died after a Bangkok genital filler procedure during a luxury holiday with his wife. The 43-year-old suffered chest pain, collapsed three times and endured more than 100 minutes of CPR. A British inquest later linked the injections to a fatal pulmonary embolism. Yet his death also reopened another extraordinary chapter. Three years earlier, Nigerian anti-narcotics investigators had declared Ubiribo and Danielle Simba Allen wanted over an international drug-trafficking probe tied to a 32.7kg cannabis seizure, suspected Los Angeles operations and the recruitment of young women.
A popular British-Nigerian influencer died after receiving filler injections to enlarge his genitals at a Bangkok clinic. Igho “Tiny” Ubiribo, 43, suffered chest pain and repeatedly collapsed within hours of the procedure. Doctors battled for more than 100 minutes to save him. However, a British inquest later linked the treatment directly to his fatal pulmonary embolism.
The businessman was enjoying a luxury Thailand holiday with his wife, fashion designer Danielle Simba Allen. Yet Ubiribo arrived in Bangkok with a controversial international background. Three years earlier, Nigeria’s anti-narcotics agency had declared both husband and wife wanted. Investigators accused them of involvement in an international drug-trafficking syndicate operating from Los Angeles.
Moreover, Nigeria’s National Drug Law Enforcement Agency linked the case to a 32.7kg cannabis seizure at Lagos airport. The agency also accused the suspected network of recruiting young women to sell illicit drugs. However, there was no reported conviction against Ubiribo in that case before his death.
Bangkok filler procedure ends in emergency after influencer suffers chest pain and loses consciousness
By March 2026, Ubiribo and Allen were together in Bangkok. The couple were staying at a Marriott hotel during their holiday. On March 5, Ubiribo visited an unnamed Thai clinic for a genital enlargement procedure. There, he received 40ml of hyaluronic acid and lidocaine injected into his penis.
Hyaluronic acid is widely used as a temporary cosmetic filler. In this procedure, the injections were intended to increase penile girth. Such treatments can reportedly cost as much as $9,000. Furthermore, their cosmetic effects generally last between six and nine months.
Ubiribo had undergone filler treatments before, according to information Allen later gave doctors. After leaving the clinic, the couple went for a massage together. Then the medical emergency began.
During the massage, Ubiribo suddenly complained of chest pain. He then lost consciousness twice. In response, an ambulance was called and rushed him to Sukhumvit Hospital.
Initially, the businessman remained conscious and could answer questions from medical staff. Allen immediately told doctors about the filler procedure earlier that day. She also revealed that her husband had undergone filler treatments previously. Doctors then recommended a CT scan to establish what was happening.
Doctors battle for 100 minutes before British influencer dies as postmortem links filler to embolism
Before that could happen, Ubiribo lost consciousness again. Doctors subsequently diagnosed a pulmonary embolism. The condition involves an obstruction blocking blood vessels supplying the lungs. In Ubiribo’s case, the subsequent postmortem would provide crucial evidence about that blockage.
As his condition deteriorated, doctors transferred Ubiribo into intensive care. There, medical staff began a marathon effort to keep him alive. They performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation for more than 100 minutes. Nevertheless, they could not revive him.
Ubiribo died during the early hours of March 6. He was 43 years old.
Months later, his final hours became the focus of proceedings at Inner West London Coroners’ Court. Notably, a British postmortem produced evidence connecting his death with the Bangkok injections. Examiners discovered cellular material inside Ubiribo’s lungs. That material matched the hyaluronic acid used during the cosmetic procedure.
The inquest therefore linked the treatment to the pulmonary embolism which killed him. Coroner Jean Harkin delivered the finding in London. Meanwhile, evidence from Thailand detailed the extraordinary speed of Ubiribo’s deterioration.
Thai doctor details Ubiribo’s rapid collapse as British medical evidence reveals his health history
Dr Thongchai Chansirirattingkul, of Sukhumvit Hospital, described the sequence surrounding his admission.
“He had had two cases of syncope (fainting) earlier, when he was having a massage,” he said. “He had had 40 millilitres of penile filler injections earlier that day.”
Separately, Ubiribo’s London-based primary care doctor provided details about his medical history. The businessman had previously undergone an operation on his joints. Additionally, he was pre-diabetic and suffered from gout. His doctor reported no other medical conditions.
Away from the medical evidence, Ubiribo had built a sizeable public profile. He was also known online as “Denisi” and “Ego”. Reports put his Instagram following at approximately 185,000. His posts showcased international travel and an affluent lifestyle.
Reports following his death also detailed substantial property holdings. In Los Angeles, he reportedly owned a $1.1 million home in the Crenshaw neighbourhood. Meanwhile, his London apartment was reportedly valued at approximately $600,000.
Luxury lifestyle and celebrity connections emerge before Nigerian drug investigation targets the couple
Allen had her own established profile as a fashion designer and socialite. The couple married during an extravagant ceremony in Zimbabwe in 2022. Their social circle included prominent figures from Nigerian entertainment and business.
Most notably, Ubiribo was a childhood friend of Nigerian Afrobeats superstar Davido. Yet another side of Ubiribo’s international profile had emerged shortly after his marriage.
In April 2023, Nigeria’s National Drug Law Enforcement Agency formally declared Ubiribo and Allen wanted. The case had started several months earlier with a substantial narcotics seizure at Lagos airport.
On November 16, 2022, anti-narcotics officers intercepted 32.7kg of “Loud”, described as a potent cannabis variant. Investigators said the drugs were hidden inside cartons containing used clothing. A freight agent was arrested immediately.
From there, the investigation widened. Officers subsequently arrested four more people while pursuing the suspected distribution network. Investigators then traced the case to a suspected drug warehouse in Lagos’ Lekki area.
However, the agency said suspected drugs had been removed before officers reached the premises. Even so, investigators recovered sealing equipment, packaging bags and other drug-related paraphernalia.

The trail then turned towards Ubiribo and Allen. According to the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, arrested suspect Edward Omatseye said he worked for the couple. Investigators subsequently identified Ubiribo and Allen as suspected leading figures in the organisation.
On another front, the agency accused the network of recruiting young women to sell illicit drugs. Investigators also linked Port Harcourt preacher Faith Ugochi to the case. Ugochi was associated with Christ Power Adoration Ministries.
The agency accused Ugochi of helping recruit women on behalf of Ubiribo and Allen. Meanwhile, investigators accused Omatseye of coordinating the suspected network’s Nigerian operations. Another suspect was linked to the freight company accused of handling illicit shipments.
Two people were subsequently charged at the Federal High Court in Lagos alongside Ben Cargo Ltd. Still, anti-narcotics investigators wanted Ubiribo and Allen themselves for questioning.
The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency said it sent letters requesting their appearance. According to investigators, lawyers representing the couple initially requested additional time. Afterwards, the agency said communication stopped.
Anti-narcotics agency names Ubiribo and wife as suspected leaders as investigators pursue the network
Financial investigators also turned their attention towards Lasgidi Backwood Ltd. The anti-narcotics agency linked the company to Ubiribo and Allen. Furthermore, investigators claimed company funds were transferred into another person’s private account.
As part of the investigation, the agency froze 80 million naira traced to that account. Investigators also pursued assets linked to suspects in the case. A court order was obtained covering several properties.
These reportedly included a petrol station and properties in Lagos and Port Harcourt. Eventually, a Federal High Court in Lagos issued an order declaring Ubiribo, Allen and Ugochi wanted.
There was no reported conviction against Ubiribo in the case before his death in Bangkok. Three years later, however, his name would surface internationally for an entirely different reason.
Drug investigators freeze 80 million naira and secure court orders against properties linked to suspects
This time, the central facts involved a Bangkok clinic, a 40ml filler injection and a rapidly developing medical emergency.
Following his death, Ubiribo’s body was returned to Britain. His funeral then became a major gathering of figures from his Nigerian celebrity circle. He was buried in London in an elaborate gold coffin reportedly costing more than $745,000.
Among the mourners was Davido, his childhood friend. Celebrity barman Cubana Chief Priest also attended. Pastor Tobi Adegboyega was another prominent guest.
During the funeral, Davido delivered an emotional tribute.
“I won’t lie, it is not easy when someone like Tiny leaves,” Davido said. “His absence is heavy; it doesn’t feel real. A man of so much energy, so much presence. The silence is heavy. He is not someone I ever thought I would be speaking about in the past tense.”
Back in London, meanwhile, the coroner’s investigation concentrated firmly on Ubiribo’s final hours.

The sequence began with the 40ml injection of hyaluronic acid and lidocaine. Soon afterwards, Ubiribo joined Allen for their massage. Chest pain followed. Then came two episodes of fainting.
Yet he remained conscious when he reached Sukhumvit Hospital. Doctors questioned him while Allen disclosed the earlier filler treatment. Medical staff then planned a CT scan.
Before they could perform it, Ubiribo collapsed again. Doctors diagnosed the pulmonary embolism and rushed him into intensive care. For more than 100 minutes, medical staff attempted to resuscitate him.
Their efforts failed.

Finally, the British postmortem supplied the critical medical evidence. Examiners discovered material inside Ubiribo’s lungs matching the injected hyaluronic acid. The inquest subsequently linked the Bangkok procedure to the fatal pulmonary embolism.
Ubiribo had arrived in Thailand with his wife for a luxury holiday. On March 5, he entered an unnamed Bangkok clinic for the genital filler treatment.
Hours later, after chest pain, three collapses and more than 100 minutes of CPR, Igho “Tiny” Ubiribo was dead.
