Jealousy killing horror in Chachoengsao. A Thai man, 58, allegedly ambushed his ex and beat her new lover, 55, to death before severing his penis. He then attacked the woman. Police arrested him armed with a club and knife. Murder charges followed.
A jealous Thai man beat his estranged partner’s new lover to death before cutting off his penis in Chachoengsao. The 58-year-old suspect travelled from Nakhon Ratchasima, allegedly broke into the woman’s rented room and lay in wait. When the couple returned on Sunday night, he battered the 55-year-old victim with a wooden club and mutilated his body. He then attacked the woman, 30, who had left him two months earlier. Police arrested him nearby, still armed. Shockingly, he admitted previously beating her so severely she suffered serious injuries. By Monday, he faced murder, assault and weapons charges. Meanwhile, conflicting accounts emerged over the fatal confrontation. The killing highlights Thailand’s recurring problem of deadly violence driven by sexual jealousy and broken relationships.

A jealous Thai man beat his estranged partner’s new lover to death before cutting off his penis in Chachoengsao on Sunday night. The 58-year-old suspect allegedly ambushed the couple after travelling from Nakhon Ratchasima to confront the woman.
He battered the 55-year-old victim with a wooden club before mutilating his body with a utility knife. Afterwards, he turned on the 30-year-old woman, who had left him two months earlier. Police arrested him nearby, still armed with the club and knife.
By Monday, November 2, he faced murder, assault and weapons charges. Crucially, the suspect admitted previously beating the woman so severely that she suffered serious injuries.
Police find lover beaten to death beside pickup as armed suspect is arrested near Chachoengsao market
The killing occurred at approximately 10 pm near Mae Lang Market in Bang Khla district, east of Bangkok. The victim, identified as Nimit, 55, was found lying on the road beside his black pickup truck.
His head and body bore serious injuries from repeated blows. Rescue workers immediately attempted cardiopulmonary resuscitation. However, Nimit could not be revived. Police subsequently discovered that his penis had been severed and left near the rear of his vehicle.
Officers from Bang Khla Police Station responded to reports of the violent confrontation outside rented accommodation. On arrival, they found the victim critically injured and the suspected attacker still nearby.
Chaturong, 58, was reportedly hiding close to the scene with a wooden club and a knife. Police approached him and persuaded him to surrender both weapons. He was then arrested without further violence. Meanwhile, investigators began examining the bloodshed and the circumstances leading to the killing.
The woman was identified as Chantima, 30, an employee of a local administrative organisation in Chachoengsao. She told police that she had ended her relationship with Chaturong approximately two months earlier.
Woman says relationship ended two months earlier but suspect admits beating her over new boyfriend
Subsequently, she began seeing Nimit. However, her former partner rejected that account. He insisted they remained together and accused her of secretly maintaining a relationship with another man. Chantima also reported continued harassment following their separation.
The couple had previously shared a home in Nakhon Ratchasima province. Chantima later moved to Chachoengsao for work, leaving Chaturong behind. Nevertheless, he maintained that her departure had not ended their relationship.
Instead, he accused her of becoming romantically involved with Nimit while they were still together. His suspicions had already triggered an earlier violent confrontation. According to the suspect, he had discovered Chantima with Nimit and assaulted her.
That earlier beating reportedly left the woman seriously injured. Chaturong admitted the assault during police questioning, according to the published accounts. He claimed Chantima subsequently promised to end her relationship with Nimit.
However, he said he later discovered that the couple were continuing to see each other. The discovery reportedly enraged him. Consequently, he travelled from Nakhon Ratchasima to Chachoengsao on Sunday to confront her again.
Suspect hid inside rented room before couple returned as rival accounts emerge over fatal confrontation
The suspect’s account places him inside Chantima’s rented accommodation before the couple returned. Rather than waiting outside, he allegedly climbed through an unlocked window. He then concealed himself inside the property.
There, he waited for Chantima to arrive. Eventually, she returned with Nimit in his black pickup truck. Their arrival set off the confrontation that ended with Nimit dead and his body mutilated.
Chaturong claimed he had originally intended to attack Chantima, not kill her new boyfriend. According to his version, Nimit punched him first during the confrontation. The suspect said he then retaliated with the wooden club.
However, Thai television reporting provided a different account of the opening moments. Workpoint News reported that Nimit intervened to protect Chantima before suffering the fatal beating. The distinction remains central to reconstructing the attack.
The confrontation quickly turned deadly. Chaturong allegedly struck Nimit repeatedly with the wooden club, inflicting devastating injuries to his head and body. The victim collapsed near his pickup truck.

Afterwards, the attacker used a Stanley-type utility knife to sever his penis. The organ was left near the rear of the vehicle. However, investigators have not established whether Nimit was already dead when the mutilation occurred. A complete forensic account has not been released.
The violence also extended to Chantima. Workpoint News reported that local residents recorded footage of the suspect attacking her with the wooden club.
Significantly, the recordings reportedly showed the assault continuing after Nimit had already suffered fatal injuries. The broadcaster described the victim as having intervened to protect the woman. However, the full extent of Chantima’s injuries during Sunday’s attack remains unclear. Police have not released a complete medical account.
By the time emergency workers reached Nimit, his condition was critical. He had suffered repeated blows and was lying beside the black pickup. Rescuers attempted to restart his heart through cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
Despite those efforts, he died at the scene. Meanwhile, police located Chaturong hiding nearby. Officers recovered the club and knife after persuading him to surrender. The suspect was subsequently taken to Bang Khla Police Station for questioning.
Police chief confirms confession and murder charges as investigators prepare court detention request
Police Colonel Sumit Phromtong, Superintendent of Bang Khla Police Station, took charge of the investigation. He confirmed that Chaturong had admitted carrying out the attack. Jealousy and anger over Chantima’s relationship with Nimit were identified as the reported motive.
In parallel, officers began collecting evidence and examining the competing accounts of the confrontation. Police Captain Somchai Ratsami, Deputy Inspector (Investigation), conducted further questioning on Monday morning, November 2.
Investigators initially brought charges covering intentional killing, causing bodily injury and carrying a weapon. The murder allegation concerns Nimit’s death, while the assault charge relates to the attack on Chantima.
Separately, police examined the weapons recovered from the scene. By Monday, officers were preparing documents for a court detention application scheduled for Tuesday, November 3. The available reports do not establish whether the court subsequently approved the application.
The accused killer’s conduct during Monday’s police proceedings attracted further attention. Journalists watched officers escort him from an upper floor of Bang Khla Police Station towards the detention cells.
Suspect tells reporters he feels no stress and insists woman remained his partner despite separation
Chaturong appeared to have an injured leg. Reporters questioned him about the killing and whether he was experiencing stress. His answer was striking. He reportedly said he was not stressed at all. Journalists described his expression as calm and impassive.
During the encounter, Chaturong again insisted that Chantima remained his partner. He maintained that he had followed her after discovering she was continuing to see Nimit. His statements directly contradicted the woman’s account of their separation.
She had told investigators that the relationship ended approximately two months earlier. Moreover, she reported that Chaturong continued harassing her afterwards. The disagreement over whether their relationship had ended remained central to the police investigation.
The earlier assault on Chantima added another serious element to the case. According to Chaturong, he had previously confronted her after discovering her involvement with Nimit. He admitted beating her during that encounter. The violence reportedly left her seriously injured. Afterwards, he claimed she promised to stop seeing Nimit.
Yet he subsequently discovered that the couple remained together. That discovery, according to his account, prompted Sunday’s journey and the final confrontation.
Earlier beating and fatal attack expose repeated violence over relationship breakdown in Chachoengsao
The case involves two reported attacks on Chantima and the killing of her new partner. The first confrontation occurred before Sunday’s fatal violence. It reportedly resulted in serious injuries to the woman.
The second followed Chaturong’s journey from Nakhon Ratchasima to Chachoengsao. This time, Nimit was beaten to death and mutilated. Chantima was also attacked. Both incidents arose from the same relationship dispute, according to the suspect’s statements.
The killing also falls within a familiar category of violent crime reported across Thailand. Sexual jealousy, infidelity and relationship breakdowns repeatedly feature in reports of fatal assaults.
Such incidents involve estranged partners, new lovers and disputes over relationships that one person refuses to consider finished. Thailand’s macho culture forms part of the wider social context surrounding these crimes. However, the available material provides no national figures establishing how frequently such killings occur.
In this case, the reported sequence is unusually stark. Chantima said she had ended the relationship and moved away for employment. Her former partner rejected that separation. He admitted previously beating her and later travelled across provincial boundaries to confront her again.
Notably, he allegedly entered her accommodation through a window and hid inside. He waited until she returned with Nimit. The confrontation then ended with one man dead and the woman assaulted.
Conflicting accounts of first blows leave police examining witness footage and forensic evidence
Chaturong’s explanation also presents investigators with conflicting accounts of the violence. He claimed Nimit punched him first. Yet he acknowledged entering Chantima’s rented accommodation before the couple arrived.
His own version therefore places him inside the property, waiting for their return. By contrast, Workpoint News described Nimit intervening to protect Chantima. The broadcaster’s account presents the victim as responding to an attack on the woman rather than initiating the confrontation.
That difference could prove important during criminal proceedings. Investigators must establish the order of events before Nimit suffered the fatal blows. Witness statements and the reported video recordings could help clarify the confrontation. Additionally, forensic findings may establish the nature and sequence of the injuries.
However, police have not released a complete reconstruction. The available reports also do not confirm whether investigators have formally secured and authenticated the residents’ recordings.
Questions remain about the earlier violence against Chantima. Chaturong admitted assaulting her so severely that she suffered serious injuries. Nevertheless, the reporting does not establish whether she previously filed a police complaint.
Police face unanswered questions over earlier abuse, mutilation and injuries suffered by surviving woman
Nor does it identify any earlier criminal proceedings against the suspect involving domestic violence. It also remains unclear whether authorities had received reports of his alleged harassment following the separation. These matters have not been resolved in the published accounts.
The mutilation presents a separate forensic question. Police found Nimit’s severed penis near the rear of his pickup truck. The suspect allegedly used a Stanley-type utility knife after beating him with the wooden club.
However, the precise timing remains unknown. Investigators have not established whether the victim was alive when the organ was severed. Furthermore, no complete post-mortem findings have been disclosed. Police have not confirmed whether additional charges will arise from the mutilation.
The woman’s condition also remains incompletely documented. Workpoint News reported that she was struck with the wooden club after Nimit had suffered fatal injuries. Residents reportedly recorded part of that violence.
However, the available accounts do not establish the full extent of her injuries. The suspect’s earlier admission of a serious beating adds another dimension to the investigation. Police are examining a fatal confrontation following an already violent relationship dispute.
Confession, recovered weapons and rival accounts form evidence as murder case heads towards court
The recovered weapons, the suspect’s confession and the victim’s injuries form central elements of the case. Investigators also have the competing accounts of Chaturong and the television reporting.
The suspect’s statements describe an earlier beating, a disputed separation and his journey to Chachoengsao. Crucially, they also place him inside Chantima’s accommodation before the couple returned. Police must reconcile those statements with witness evidence and forensic findings.
The investigation is proceeding under Bang Khla Police Station. Chaturong faces intentional murder, assault and weapons charges. Meanwhile, officers are preparing the evidence for court proceedings.

The exact sequence of the confrontation remains disputed, particularly the first physical blows. The timing of the mutilation also remains unresolved. Separately, investigators have not disclosed whether the earlier assault on Chantima will result in further proceedings.
By Tuesday, November 3, the case had moved towards court detention proceedings. A 55-year-old man was dead after a savage beating, his penis severed and left beside his pickup truck. His 30-year-old girlfriend had survived another reported assault by the man she said she had left.
The accused killer, meanwhile, insisted that their relationship had never ended. He had already admitted an earlier serious beating. Police now face the task of establishing the full sequence behind Sunday’s killing and the violence that preceded it.
