A 33-year-old Chanthaburi mother has vanished for more than five days after leaving home on August 28. CCTV later captured Ms Wichuda Chansungnoen entering her on-off boyfriend’s white pickup at about 10 pm. However, he denied seeing her for months and blocked her mother when challenged with the footage. Her 10-year-old son also received no further contact. The couple’s relationship involved repeated breakups, disputes and physical altercations. Police later traced the pickup to Chiang Mai, but neither Ms Wichuda nor her boyfriend has been found.
A 33-year-old mother vanished after climbing into her boyfriend’s white pickup truck late on August 28. Five days later, her family still had no contact, explanation or confirmed sighting. However, CCTV footage captured the crucial meeting before she disappeared. Her boyfriend later denied seeing her and claimed they had not met for months.
Ms Wichuda Chansungnoen, known as Lukpla, left her home in Chanthaburi province that evening after saying she had errands. Initially, she drove away in her own car without reporting anything unusual. She later parked near the home of her cousin, identified as Ms Kai. From there, she left with her on-again, off-again boyfriend, Mr Nut.
At about 10 pm, Mr Nut arrived near Ms Kai’s home in a white pickup truck. Ms Wichuda entered the vehicle, and they drove away together. Notably, neither person disclosed their destination or expected return time. Ms Wichuda’s own car remained parked near her cousin’s house.

Afterwards, Ms Wichuda dropped completely out of contact with her family. Telephone calls went unanswered, while no messages arrived explaining her whereabouts. Crucially, she also stopped communicating with her 10-year-old son. Her sudden silence immediately clashed with her usual behaviour, according to her mother.
Mrs Chantra Muangkao, 50, initially knew nothing about the pickup truck. She repeatedly called her daughter but received no response. By August 31, three days had passed without any word. Consequently, she visited Ms Kai and began reconstructing her daughter’s final known movements.
Ms Kai then disclosed the late-night meeting with Mr Nut. She said Ms Wichuda had arrived and parked her car nearby. Shortly afterwards, the white pickup appeared and collected her. Significantly, that account placed Ms Wichuda with Mr Nut immediately before she became unreachable.
Armed with that information, Mrs Chantra contacted Mr Nut and demanded answers. Instead, he firmly denied collecting her daughter. He claimed he had not seen Ms Wichuda for several months. Yet CCTV footage reportedly showed him picking her up that night.

In response, Mrs Chantra told him that she had watched the CCTV recording. Mr Nut then immediately blocked her. As a result, she could no longer question him about her daughter’s location. He supplied no further explanation about the footage or the white pickup truck.
Meanwhile, Ms Wichuda’s son had also begun searching for answers. He last contacted his mother during the evening of August 28. During their exchange, she said she was travelling out of town on business. Thereafter, the boy could no longer reach her.
The child then messaged Mr Nut and asked where his mother was. Once again, Mr Nut denied being with her. Separately, he told the boy that he was working abroad. He subsequently stopped answering telephone calls and messages from the child.
At the same time, Ms Wichuda remained silent. She made no direct contact with her mother, son or cousin. Likewise, the family received no confirmed information through anyone else. By September 3, her absence had stretched beyond five days.
Mrs Chantra said the disappearance was completely out of character. Her daughter deeply loved her son and never left him for extended periods. Furthermore, Ms Wichuda regularly cared for both her mother and child. She also transported them and handled important parts of their daily lives.

For that reason, Mrs Chantra rejected the idea that her daughter had simply abandoned them. Ms Wichuda had not mentioned any lengthy trip before leaving home. Nor had she prepared the family for an extended absence. Instead, she said only that she was running errands.
Against that background, the parked car became another important detail. Ms Wichuda had driven it away from home but left it near Ms Kai’s property. She then transferred into Mr Nut’s vehicle without explaining the change. From that moment, her movements became unknown.
Beyond the disappearance, Mrs Chantra described a deeply troubled relationship between the couple. Ms Wichuda and Mr Nut had repeatedly broken up and reconciled. Their relationship was marked by frequent disputes. According to the mother, those conflicts also included physical altercations.
Previously, Mrs Chantra had urged her daughter not to resume the relationship. Nevertheless, Ms Wichuda repeatedly returned to Mr Nut after their separations. Her mother described her as soft-hearted towards him. This time, however, the reconciliation was followed by her unexplained disappearance.

Given that history, Mrs Chantra feared her daughter had been lured into danger. Still, no evidence established what happened after the pickup departed. Nobody had confirmed where the couple travelled that night. Equally, nobody had reported speaking directly with Ms Wichuda afterwards.
In the absence of contact, Mrs Chantra appealed publicly for her daughter to return. She asked Ms Wichuda to telephone immediately if she remained safe. Above all, she wanted confirmation that her daughter was unharmed. Ms Wichuda’s young son was also waiting for news.
On another front, the family formally reported the disappearance to Lat Ya Police Station. Reporters later visited the station and requested details about the investigation. Police confirmed that Mrs Chantra had already filed a missing-person report. Officers had also begun examining the pickup truck connected to the case.
As part of that work, investigators traced the vehicle’s later movements. They established that the white pickup was last seen in Chiang Mai province. However, the report gave no precise location within the province. It also did not state when the vehicle was recorded there.

Importantly, police had not confirmed whether Ms Wichuda remained inside the truck. They had not located Mr Nut either. Moreover, no direct communication from either person had reached the family. Both remained missing when police provided their latest update.
By then, investigators faced two sharply conflicting accounts. CCTV and Ms Kai’s statement placed Ms Wichuda inside Mr Nut’s pickup. Conversely, Mr Nut maintained that he had not seen her for months. His later claim of working abroad produced another unanswered question for the family.

In parallel, officers continued searching for the vehicle and both individuals. The Chiang Mai sighting remained the latest known lead disclosed by police. Nonetheless, Ms Wichuda’s fate remained unknown five days after she left home. Her family still had no answers after her final journey in the white pickup.
